Besides Joe, I have two great passions in my life: art and horses. My creative journey began in the studio, where I've explored color, aesthetics, and self-expression for many years. Eventually, this passion turned into Two Dog Dezign, which later became Shauna Morrissey Art. In 2000 I ventured out of the studio with my line of handcrafted furniture.
The FURNITURE
My signature brightly hued, handcrafted functional art could be spotted in living spaces around the globe. Sadly, when the financial crash of 2007 loomed on the horizon, I had to face the harsh reality of closing my studio. This momentous decision brought forth great uncertainty in terms of my next steps by 2009.
The CANVAS
Upon the closure of my studio, I picked up a brush and experimented with a variety of painting styles, yet ultimately devoted my attention to music, or, more precisely, the rhythm of life. In short order, my life underwent a dramatic transformation.
Barking ART
My friend randomly asked me one day if I would paint her puppy, which filled me with excitement. This project ultimately sparked the birth of Barking Art, my pet portrait company. I felt privileged to capture the likeness of nearly a thousand family pets on canvas over the next ten years.
During this time I had been competing and training horses. Eventually I purchased a farm called CORTERRA. And here the story merges with that of Joe and our grand Kentucky adventure.
