Bourbon Barrel Coaster, Set of 4

An outstanding gift, these bourbon stave coasters, like the bourbon they held, are aged to perfection. No two will ever be exactly the same. Their fabulous patina creates a rustic sophistication that can't be found anywhere else. The coasters measure approximately 4 x 4 x 2". They are created from authentic bourbon barrel staves procured in the great state of Kentucky. They have been cut, cleaned and sealed with 3 coats of polyurethane clear coat. 

Each piece starts by sanding the back to remove the heavy char.
Each stave or head is inspected for damage or cracks.
We carefully clean each one with water and a wire brush to remove any dirt and debris but retain the authentic aged patina.

After cleaning and gluing (if item requires), we sand all the edges with 600 grit to make smooth.
We hand rub 3 coats of food-safe polyurethane for longevity. We have moved on from oiling as it wears off with use and decreases the longevity of the wood.

All products are then carefully wrapped and await shipping.

Each authentic Kentucky bourbon barrel comes direct from one of the many distilleries that surround us, including Jim Beam, Maker's Mark and Jack Daniels.
