Bourbon Barrel Tray w/ Copper Handles

This Bourbon Barrel Tray is one of my favorites. Of course, I say this about just about everything we make! Each one asks to be unique and appreciated for their individual characteristics. We chose to make handcrafted copper handles as an homage to the art of distilling spirits. Copper is an integral part of this process. We source our barrels direct from the distilleries including Maker's Mark and Jack Daniels.

The charm of these tray is no two are alike. However, all are approximately the same size and height. Some warping is natural as the wood expands and contracts with heat and humidity. All of our handcrafted products come with a 100% lifetime warranty. If anything should happen to your tray we will repair or replace it. Returns are accepted for 30 days from receipt of product.

The tray measures approx. 21"x8" (at its deepest) x 2.5" tall to the top of the tray.
We have sealed it carefully with three coats of food grade oil on the surface and 3 coats of polyurethane over the charred underside.

Each piece starts by sanding the back to remove the heavy char.
Each stave or head is inspected for damage or cracks.
We carefully clean each one with water and a wire brush to remove any dirt and debris but retain the authentic aged patina.

After cleaning and gluing (if item requires), we sand all the edges with 600 grit to make smooth.
We hand rub 3 coats of food-safe polyurethane for longevity. We have moved on from oiling as it wears off with use and decreases the longevity of the wood.

All products are then carefully wrapped and await shipping.

Each authentic Kentucky bourbon barrel comes direct from one of the many distilleries that surround us, including Jim Beam, Maker's Mark and Jack Daniels. The charm in all of our barrel products is no two are ever exactly the same. The patina of use and age infuses each one, making them a unique statement of our American history and culture.
