Wall mounted Bottle Opener, Unique Bourbon Gifts

We've all been there...a bottle without an opener! Why buy just any old opener when you can have one with such history and character? These openers are made from 100% recycled barrel staves straight from the heart of bourbon country. Their patina and charred backs tell the story of their past. In a home bar, a fabulous garden area, or anywhere in between, these upcycled, functional pieces will make a great addition to any living environment.

Each piece is cut, cleaned and sealed front and back with 3 coats of polyurethane. Each piece is unique, with no two looking exactly alike. They measure approximately 9" x 3.5" wide. The opener is heavy cast iron. Keyholes have been drilled in the back for secure and invisible mounting. All mounting hardware is included.

Each piece starts by sanding the back to remove the heavy char.
Each stave or head is inspected for damage or cracks.
We carefully clean each one with water and a wire brush to remove any dirt and debris but retain the authentic aged patina.

After cleaning and gluing (if item requires), we sand all the edges with 600 grit to make smooth.
We hand rub 3 coats of food-safe polyurethane for longevity. We have moved on from oiling as it wears off with use and decreases the longevity of the wood.

All products are then carefully wrapped and await shipping.

Each authentic Kentucky bourbon barrel comes direct from one of the many distilleries that surround us, including Jim Beam, Maker's Mark and Jack Daniels. The charm in all of our barrel products is no two are ever exactly the same. The patina of use and age infuses each one, making them a unique statement of our American history and culture.
